How Can loose Stools And Cramping Pain Be Treated?

I have clear watery bowel movements. Sometimes for three or four days in a row and several times a day with cramping. I will then have normal bowel movements for several days or weeks. I have been tested for gluten and was informed I do not have a wheat problem. What can cause a clear watery bowel movement.

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be acute gastroenteritis but it remains for more than a week chronic diarrhoea workup may be needed including stool analysis as well as cultures and long-term metronidazole or Doxycycline or any other antibiotics like ciprofloxacin after consulting your primary Gastroenterologist.

Probiotics may also be needed alongside. For rapid bowel movements, loperamide one or two dosages may be needed alongside antispasmodic like drotavarine. However proper workup is mandatory alongside.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
